More2Nurseries based in Greenwich are currently recruiting for cover staff to join their team!
Our wonderful nurseries are close to North Greenwich and Cutty Sark station.
This is a flexible working opportunity. We are looking for staff that can be fully flexible to cover in the nursery when required. However we are happy to commit to a minimum number of hours each week to suit the individual, or certain days. Working as a nursery float is a fantastic way to build up your experience within childcare, as you will be expected to work with all age groups.
Ideally you will have previous experience of working with children in a nursery setting or elsewhere.
Your role as Bank Staff Member will include;
• Consistently deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meets their individual needs.
• Have a flexible approach to working hours
• Make accurate and effective assessments, which reflect the needs, interests and stages of development of the child.
• Ensuring an enabling environment is providing consistent stimulating and inspiring activities for the children
• Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children in line with our child protection and keeping everyone safe policies and procedures.
• Ensure internal policies and procedures are adhered whilst also meeting the external legislation and guidelines from our governing bodies.
• Promote and follow guidelines implemented for managing behaviour including supporting children to manage their own feelings and behaviours.
• To carry out all duties associated with looking after children in the room and around the daily routine – ie preparing snacks for snack time, changing nappies, cleansing of equipment etc
All successful applicants will have an enhanced DBS check carried out, must join the DBS update service and be able to supply two suitable references that confirm suitability to work and safeguard children. Failure to disclose any criminal convictions, allegations, police interviews or anything else relevant will result in instant dismissal/applicant disqualification. As well as complying with Ofsted and relevant laws, safeguarding of children in More2Childcare’s care is at the core of our organisation.
