Do you want to make a difference to young people’s lives?

Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support young people aged 13-24 years. You will need to have a relevant qualification and/or experience of working directly with young people, and an understanding of the issues facing young people.
You will provide one-to-one support to young people with multiple and complex needs helping them to reach their goal of sustaining education or moving towards or getting into education, training, or employment.

Other elements of the role include partnership work, outreach, networking, small group work, promoting sustainability and diversity within the project and raising the profile of the On Track service across the county.

This role is working in Great Yarmouth with a Norwich office base for a fixed term until 31 December 2024 (with the possibility of an extension for a further year). Therefore, you will need to have excellent knowledge of Great Yarmouth and the services and support available to young people in that area. The work will mostly be carried out in educational settings and in the community.

The Matthew Project is a value driven charity working across East Anglia giving help and hope through programmes with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol. We have a vision to reach every part of the community in the most creative, effective, and efficient ways. Through our varied services, young people and adults receive professional advice, information, counselling, support, care, and education.

The role will require the successful candidate to undertake an enhanced DBS check prior to starting employment.
