Alphabet City is looking for a qualified nursery nurse who is confident and fun. We are looking for someone who will use their experience and knowledge of child care to join our team where using your initiative is encouraged to support the development of the children we care for. In our Alphabet City family our practitioners use their unique skills and motivation for child development to encourage learning and exploration.

About the job:
We are offering a full time position (Monday – Friday) working 42.5 hours per week between 8.00am-6.00pm. Must be Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in child care. Competitive salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
Main duties:
To use knowledge of child development to provide quality responsive play interactions to further children’s learning and development.
To use the knowledge of the children in your care to assess and scaffold children’s individual development.
To help children navigate their emotions and peer relationships.
To carry out intimate care routines for children.
To take on the role of Key Person to a small group of children and their families.
To liaise with families, informing them of their child(ren)’s development and helping with strategies to support learning at home.
To work as part of a team, using effective communication to share information and ideas.
