Summary

Auditory Implant Service

You will join our office-based administrative team supporting the Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) at the University of Southampton. USAIS offers a regional service for deaf children and adults for assessment and provision of an auditory implant/device and lifelong care.

This office-based 12 month role is to cover a post supporting the admin team, initially based in the referrals team, and the wider multi-disciplinary service. You will be an adaptable multi-tasker and provide proactive and patient focused administration and assistance to health professionals and colleagues. You will demonstrate excellent administration skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You will have experience of managing client records and making appointments using a client administration system. Ideally you will have experience within a health care setting.

You must have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and be confident interacting with a wide variety of people via email and on the telephone. You must be able to communicate with people who may have difficulty with understanding and be aware of their needs. You will have a keen eye for detail and appreciate the need for accuracy and adherence to data protection and information governance policies and procedures.

A standard DBS check will be required for this role.

An online competency test will be arranged prior to formal face-to-face interviews which are expected to take place on Wednesday, 15th May, 2024 - TBC
