Apart from being the Medical Director at Cygnet Nield House, you will also be theResponsible ClinicianforCompton ward,our 15 bed acute service for women. The ethos of our service is about assessing and treating service users in the least restrictive environment and planning for discharge in a robust and timely fashion. With a focus on stabilisation, we will support service users to manage their mental health, reinforce daily living skills and prepare for independent life back in the community. Our team works closely and collaboratively with service users, their families and the referrer to provide a seamless pathway from referral to discharge. Our approach is recovery focused and supported by comprehensive multi-disciplinary team, contributing to shorter lengths of stay. This is a full-time position with 0.2 WTE as Medical Director and 0.8 WTE as Compton Ward Consultant Psychiatrist. In this role, youll combine clinical expertise with sound strategic acumen and inspiring leadership to oversee the delivery of the very best care - full supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team. Fully GMC registered with a relevant medical qualification Registered on the specialist register (CCT/CESR), Section 12 and AC Status Experienced & knowledgeable in adult psychiatry & mental health diagnosis Knowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Capacity An accomplished leader & clinician with strong line management & communication skills Experienced within a mental health setting and a multidisciplinary team Knowledgeable of all aspects of clinical governance
