Summary
The Imaging Department is part of CDG11 within the Trust management structure incorporating Radiology & Medical Physics, Critical Care & Outreach, Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacy, Theatres, Surgical Admission, Anaesthetics & Pre-op and Pain Management. Individual Consultants also provide a lead role in areas of sub specialist interest where they coordinate service delivery and modernisation initiatives as well as ensuring service developments are introduced effectively within their areas. The Subspecialty Lead for Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology is Dr Kurdow Nader. The Trust has a Philips PACS with Voice Recognition capability. The Imaging Department at the UHB offers a comprehensive range of high specification imaging equipment including: *At UHB there are 15 MRI scanners including a wide bore 1.5 Tesla and three 3 Tesla machines (the ITM 3 Tesla scanner being dedicated for research) *12 CT scanners. *Dedicated Neuroradiology biplane Angiography Suite.
