Summary
The post holder will be responsible for delivery the national school aged immunisation programme through different models within school and community settings. Working within local and national guidelines, utilising PGD's. Will liaise with other immunisation staff nurses to provide support for immunisation programmes in the locality teams Will contribute to the planning and administration process needed to deliver the immunisation programmes e.g. ordering and delivery of supplies and equipment, storage of vaccines and waste disposal. Will ensure that vaccines are stored and transported in accordance with National and Organisational Policies such as the Safe and Secure Storage and transportation of medicines in the Community Will support the delivery of practical competency assessments of newly appointed and more junior staff undertaking immunisation training.
