Junior Sister / Charge Nurse

Short Stay Surgical Unit

Full time - permanent

37.5Hours per week

Band 6

£35,392 -£42,618 per annum pro rata

We are looking for motivated individuals who can demonstrate a commitment to the provision of high quality patient centred care. The post holder will be required to act as an effective role model and demonstrate good organisational and leadership skills. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrable ability to work creatively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the care of the patients, the role combines line management for the nurses within your delegated team and ensure mechanisms and processes are in place and maintained. You will also act as a source of specialist and expert nursing knowledge and provide support and advice to the wider team.

A minimum of 2 years experience post qualification is essential, with Surgical experience preferred.

The Secretary of State has approved the partnership between St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals and Southport & Ormskirk Hospitals.
