Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our friendly team in the Cardiac Cath Lab/Day Unit.

The unit is expanding and this is an exciting time to join in the development of the existing Cardiac Day Unit and two Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories, where a wide range of procedures are performed including primary angioplasty. The Cardiac Day Unit consists of 6 bedded areas and a newly introduced radial lounge.

You will be enthusiastic, well motivated and friendly with a genuine interest and previous experience in cardiac nursing. This position will involve working with the cardiologists in the Cath lab and acting as scrub nurse during pacemaker insertion, angiogram and percutaneous coronary intervention , as well as proving high quality care to both NHS and private patients in the Day unit having procedures such as transoesophageal echo and cardioversions

We encourage and support training and development opportunities to all our staff.

You will be enthusiastic, well motivated with excellent clinical skills having worked in an acute medical setting at Band 5, preferably with experience in a cardiology setting. A Coronary Care Course is desirable. Applicants must be able to work the required shift pattern.
