Your new company
My client is a well known organisation who provides a substantial service to the construction industry. They require a HGV Mechanic to carry out routine maintenance and repair on all types of commercial vehicles.
Your new role
You will be required to carry out the following:
- Routine maintenance and repairs on all types of commercial vehicles within our extensive fleet, e.g., engine servicing, brakes, clutches, etc.
- Diagnose faults using company diagnostic software, rectify faults, and liaise with the Stores department to attain the correct parts as required.
- High level of customer service.
- Ensure all jobs and service records are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensure safe working practices are adhered to.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need the following to be considered for the role:
- Previous demonstrable experience as a vehicle mechanic.
- Experience of diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Experience working on diesel engines.
- A relevant mechanical qualification would be advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work well within a small team and produce a high standard of work.
- Full driving licence.
