Male Care Assistant: Alcedo Care

Pay rates starting from £14.00ph including paid mileage, holidays, and pension. This role is currently accepting applications from drivers only.

We are seeking a compassionate Male care assistant to work with our young male clients supporting them with daily activities and all aspects of their care needs. These clients are based in and around west Cumbria.

Your role will involve supporting children and adults with.

• Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, Challenging behaviour, and mental health needs.
• Supporting with medications and complex care needs such as peg feeding, hoisting, respite care and much more.
• Assisting clients to go out into the community.
• Providing positive behaviour support.
• Working confidently as part of a team.
• Being flexible and able to adapt to new challenges.
• Liaise with client families and provide extra support when required.
• Assisting with personal care and toileting where required.

Shift patterns can be discussed at interview stage and will typically involve being available to work between 10am-2pm Monday-Friday and availability to work later nights and weekend working where required on a fortnightly rolling rota working weekend on weekend off basis.

Having your own car and UK driving licence is essential for this role. Previous care experience is not always necessary but is desirable. All training and ongoing support will be provided.

All successful candidates must undergo an enhanced DBS check. Any previous convictions or charges must be disclosed in your initial telephone conversation. Due to the nature of our roles, you must also be 18+ to apply.
