Job Description

What is the role?

The DevOps Analyst provides Level 2 support services to enable the delivery of business ICT systems and applications in South Ayrshire Council. “DevOps” is the ICT industry term which reflects the requirement to deliver both new technology development “Dev” and operational support “Ops” services.

The post holder ensures a subset of the portfolio of business systems and applications are delivered to a high quality, resilient and compliant standard to both internal and external users, and ensures that operational processes are followed to meet agreed levels of service. Creates documentation for support resolution at Level 1 and provides subject matter expert skills in this area, with general support provided at Level 2. Although this may cover Level 3 for specific systems and escalation will occur as required.

Business as Usual support and project involvement required with both demanding excellent customer services and proactive communication skills.

The Grade of this post is Grade 3 / Level 10, the hourly rate is from £23.07 to £24.26 and the annual salary is from £21,051 to £22,137.

The successful candidate will work from home; however, office attendance may be required for meetings.
