Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Systems and Control Officer to join a busy and established Revenues and Benefits team here at Public Sector Partnership Services. As we look to align systems, transform our service and increase digital options for our customers, our Systems and Control Officers will play a key role in the successful delivery of our transformation journey.



You will have extensive operational experience in a local authority Revenues and Benefit service with the ability to provide efficient and professional operational and technical expertise. The role will involve system administration of our core service applications, the production of timely and accurate data and information, including system and data reconciliations and completion of statutory returns on behalf of our client councils.



Although the post holder will work primarily on our Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support systems and processes, they will work closely with Revenues System and Control colleagues to ensure provision of a one service approach.



The Revenues and Benefits service has main offices in Boston, Horncastle and Spalding so whilst this post is based at Horncastle, occasional travel between locations will be required.



As a Systems and Control Officer you will:

Have a sound and up-to-date knowledge of Revenues and Benefits systems
Have extensive operational experience in Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support
Have a sound understanding of Housing Benefit subsidy
Be able to work accurately and to deadlines and targets
Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills


For this role the successful candidate will be required to undertake a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check which includes a basic DBS check.
