Purovets are searching for a new graduate veterinary surgeon to join the team at an expanding independent practice that prides itself on exceptional customer service and taking care of their fantastic staff of veterinary professionals as well as they take care their patients.
Join their close-knit family and become an integral part of a practice group recognised for its excellence by the RCVS. You will be working with six experienced vets and 12 wonderful nurses and support staff in a fantastic new site, which is a historic building that has been refurbished and purpose-built for excellent veterinary care.
For our client, both their dedicated staff and cherished clients, along with their beloved pets, take centre stage. Customer service and case continuity are paramount, and they set themselves apart by not only maintaining high clinical standards but also excelling in customer service. Their fully-equipped facility will boast cutting-edge technology, including an In-house laboratory, digital X-ray and Ultrasound, showcasing their commitment to excellence. There will also be monthly referral visits from a mobile CT unit.
As a new graduate, you will benefit from the experienced team of vets and nurses who are on hand to provide ample support, allowing you to improve your skills and develop confidence quickly. This includes regular 1-to-1 mentoring, participating in clinical meetings and time to complete your PDP. The team of experienced vets perform soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics and ophthalmology all on-site, so an interest in any of these would be of great interest. They will soon be adding dentistry to this. They pride themselves on looking after their staff and their open and transparent culture; regular staff surveys are conducted that allow you to have a real impact on how you and your colleagues operate.
You will be working in Swadlincote, a town in southern Derbyshire that is known for its industrial history and proximity to the National Forest. It boasts a mix of traditional charm and modern amenities, offering a range of shops, parks, and cultural attractions. The town has a vibrant community and a rich heritage to explore. The town is well-connected to nearby cities like Derby, Burton-upon-Trent, and Leicester. While it lacks a direct train station, it is within easy reach of mainline stations, providing convenient access to broader regional and national networks.
Role:
- Salary up to £40,000 DOE
- 4 days a week, 40 hours a week
- 1 in 4 Saturdays, currently 9am - 4pm but changing to 9am - 1pm
- No OOHs
Benefits:
- 224 hours (5.6 weeks) holiday including bank holidays, increase up to 304 hours (7.6 weeks) with length of service
