An exciting opportunity awaits a Mixed Vet to become a valued member of a friendly and experienced team at the UK's most northerly veterinary practice. Nestled in the breath-taking Shetland Islands, you will experience not only the diverse animal caseload but also the rich culture and stunning scenery that make Shetland a truly unique place to work.

Our client is an independent, RCVS accredited mixed animal practice catering to the veterinary needs of the inhabited islands and the Shetlands mainland. From cats to cows, owls to otters, and even the occasional wallaby, the practice handles a wide variety of species. Their close-knit team comprises of 5 Vets, 3 full-time RVNs, 4 part-time RVNs, and 2 ACAs, along with dedicated receptionists and admin staff which creates a supportive and knowledgeable environment.

The practice is well equipped with Ultrasound Scanners, Digital and Dental X-ray, Endoscope, and an idexx lab suite.

You will be surrounded by a mix of experienced and younger colleagues, always ready to lend a hand or share insights on challenging cases. Working with our client means not just a job but a camaraderie that comes with shared laughter and support.

The Rota:
• Full time - 4 day week
• Working hours are typically 8.30 - 5.30pm with the occasional late shift (10am - 7pm)
• Half day Saturday rota
• OOH rota (1:5 weekday nights and 1:5 weekends on-call with the Monday off after a weekend on call)
