About the role:
We are seeking a compassionate, supportive and experienced Special Education Needs Support Advisor with expertise in addressing emotional-based school avoidance to join our team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide specialised support and intervention for schools who are supporting children and young people (CYP) with emotional distress or anxiety related to attending school, ensuring that they receive the necessary assistance to overcome barriers to planning and successfully supporting the CYP in the educational environment. This person will be aware of the different learning difficulties and disabilities classified as SEN, and how schools can provide equity to each child depending on their own individual needs. At a time when schools feel under-resourced and levels of EBSA are increasing partnership work and a strength-building approach are key to the success of this project. As a SEN Advisor within our voluntary sector service, you will play a crucial role in supporting children struggling to attend school. You will work closely with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure that children receive appropriate support and access to education.
