Hours per week: 36.25 Monday to Friday, normal working hours

This opening assignment is for 1-2 months

City: COALVILLE, Leicestershire

Hybrid working, ideally working partly at the Customer Service Centre in Coalville but the post could be fully remote for the right candidate

A Housing Choices Administration Support Officer is required to support the team during the transfer of all current housing applicants onto a new lettings system whilst also implementing a new allocations policy. Ideally the successful candidate will work partly out of the Customer Service Centre in Coalville but the post could be fully remote for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities:

Provide clerical, administrative and organisational support to the wider team.
Assist with the processing of the housing register data.
Support the teams with events, projects etc. as required by the Team Leader.
Collate statistics and management information as required.
Update finance spreadsheets and complete the invoicing procedure.
Undertake any other reasonable tasks appropriate to the grading of the post and as required by the line manager.

Experience:

Experience of working in a customer services environment.
Experience of updating data and to produce documents, letters, posters, spreadsheets and databases as required.
An awareness of homelessness issues that may arise within a community.
Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.



Skills & Abilities:

Excellent administrative skills.
Comfortable dealing with customers over the phone.
Good verbal and written skills to deliver good customer service.
Able to always see the service through the eyes of the customer and make suggestions for improvement where appropriate.
Excellent customer care skills.
Flexible and adaptable to meet the demands of the service.
Ability to work as part of a team and to work using own initiative.
Accurate and methodical.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
