Reporting to the Home Care Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of home care workers and team leaders to provide care at home services.

You must have relevant experience of working with customers/public and experience of supervising and supporting staff with an ability to develop effective team working by influencing and leading staff. You must have an awareness of and be able to promote partnership working across health and social care settings.

You must possess competent IT skills, have effective verbal, written, organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise your own workload; interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative. Experience of recruitment, induction, training and staff development processes along with those relating to supporting attendance, budget management, risk assessment and health and safety are desirable.

You must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of service users. You will participate in the out of hours rota as and when required.

You will ideally have an SVQ level 3 or HNC/equivalent in management, health or social care.

Possession of a full driving licence is desirable.

Full training and support will be given to ensure that you are able to maintain the service’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 12 Months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
