Summary
CLINICAL To utilise a variety of formal, informal, observational and play based assessment tools and interpret these appropriately with confidence to seek support where required. To implement care/intervention based on research and demonstrate evidence based practice. To maintain a early years and school aged caseload. To provide professional clinical advice and demonstrate intervention approaches and activities to patients, carers and colleagues within education. CLINICAL GOVERNANCE / RESEARCH AUDIT Demonstrate an understanding of clinical governance and risk management and apply to own work situation Assist in developing a continuous improvement and evidence based culture within the Service COMMUNICATION To communicate effectively with patients and carers to maximise potential and to ensure understanding of their condition and goals. The post holder will demonstrate sensitivity and empathy when communicating with patients and carers and seek support from colleagues in order to best manage challenging situations. To communicate effectively with all those involved in patient care. This will include forms of verbal/written report writing, referrals to other agencies.
