Summary

Welland is a popular, vibrant and welcoming school enjoying a beautiful, rural location and strong links with the local community. There are currently 136 pupils between the ages of 4 to 11 on roll. It is a friendly, caring and dynamic school which has high standards and expectations of both children and staff, whilst valuing the importance of fun, enthusiasm, interest and passion for children in all areas of school life.
Welland Primary is part of Hanley and Upton Educational Trust, along with Hanley Castle High School, Hanley Swan St Gabriel with St Mary’s CofE Primary School and Kempsey Primary School.
We are recruiting a part-time teaching assistant for 18.75 hours per week on a 1-year contract. This is a TA 2 position and the scale point will depend on the experience and qualifications of the applicant. The position will be to work five mornings in class, initially in Key Stage Two (Year 6), however all our TAs are flexible and need to be prepared to work anywhere in the school. There may also be the opportunity for some additional hours in the afternoon depending on the experience and skills of the candidate to provide PPA cover or work with children with additional needs.
Salary: £23,500 - £23,893. Actual pro-rated salary £10,230 - £10,636
