Employment basis: Permanent, full-time, year-roundCathedral Schools Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled ICT lead Technician to join a dynamic and proactive ICT team. You will be based on the Trinity Academy Bristol campus, leading the site and managing the ICT Technician alongside the CST IT Director and CST ICT Technical Manager, whilst also working with the CST IT team supporting other schools within the Trust, all within Bristol and North Somerset.
Working closely with the CST ICT Director and School, you will be the driving force in managing continuous improvement, planning, ICT budgets and procurement. You will maintain and develop IT hardware, systems and services whilst also providing remote and face-to-face technical support in line with the Trust's ICT support service to allow the effective use of ICT by both staff and students.The successful candidate will need to demonstrate initiative to deal with unexpected situations during the school day and have excellent organisational skills. You will be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all users and be able to work under pressure, to deadlines, whilst maintaining a sense of humour.The successful candidate will have proven experience in an IT environment, with hands-on experience of server maintenance, repair and recovery, as well as a detailed understanding of Windows networks/servers (AD, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, etc.) and the majority of desktop applications, Microsoft Office, Adobe. Ideally, they will also have hands-on experience of line management, mentoring technicians and working closely with stakeholders. Ownership and decision making will be key to the role.
