Qualifications needed:
• Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
• Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
• Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders
• At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies

We are currently recruiting for a Specialty Doctor in the Adolescent Tier 3 CAMHS service at Brookside Unit, 107a Barley Lane, Goodmayes, Ilford. IG3 8XQ.

You will join 2wte substantive Consultants, 2wte Specialty Doctors, 1wte Senior Trainee, 1wte Core Trainee, and 1wte Foundation Year Trainee within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

ARD is proud of being front runners in its delivery of safe services in the least restrictive way, with well-developed Home Treatment Teams and Crises Services and a small, high quality bed base.

You will be expected to:
• Work as part of multidisciplinary teams in both Liaison and Crises Support pathways
• Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases
• Provide guidance and supervision to the team
• Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with community CYPMHS consultants and specialty doctors
• Support the Crisis and Home Treatment teams on the Enhanced Treatment Pathways.
• Work alongside two full time Consultants, 2wte Specialty Doctors, 1wte Senior Trainee, 1wte Core Trainee and 1wte Foundation Year Trainee in the service and will share supervision requirements for junior doctors in the team.
• Develop links already established with the local acute trusts’ A&E departments and paediatric services
