Summary

Sefton@Work acts as the key labour market intermediary for Sefton Council and has been working alongside Sefton residents and employers since 2003, offering a range of free and confidential job-related services to residents aged 16 years and above, as well as free recruitment services for local employers.

Our main aim is to provide a joined-up approach to regeneration, employment & skills by ensuring that local people receive the benefits of local investment and job growth in the area.

The post holder will work specifically on our Ways to Work programme funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). You will work with the most vulnerable of our clients providing Information, Advice and Guidance to those looking to return to the labour market. You will be adept at working with clients to address their barriers to employment and offer solutions that will build resilience as well as opening possibilities to progress.

The successful applicant could be qualified to NVQ Level 4 in Advice and Guidance or have 3 years previous experience working on a one to one basis; problem solving or promoting wellbeing. You should be able to demonstrate strong administration and communication skills. Previous recent experience in an information and advice role is essential as is the ability to achieve targets, deadlines. You will be required to manage a caseload of individuals with varying levels of needs and support them to overcome any barriers to progression in employment or learning.

Provisional Interview Date: w/c 20 May 2024. Interviews will be a competency-based panel format.
