JOB DESCRIPTION
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 21 year old male with Autism living in the Maerdy area of Ferndale. I am currently attending university part time studying computer and gaming development which I really enjoy. I would like a PA to help me experience and try new things out in the community. I enjoy kayaking and also have a passion for food so I like to eat out.
I am a very clever kind and caring person but trust is very important for me and it may take me a while to get used of you, but as soon as I build that trust I am ok. Because of my condition I see everyone as equals which sometimes confuses me I am not comfortable in busy or loud places straight away but can get used of them over time if I was to visit them regularly. I love going to Disneyland with my family.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Is to support me out in the community and to experience new things and just be my friend to share some life experience with me.
HOURS OF WORK
5 hours per weekdays/weekends which can be flexible to suit.
RATES OF PAY
£12.00 per hour
Mileage to be discussed in interview.
TASKS INVOLVED
Will be supporting me out in the community and socialising
Ensuring my safety at all time
Encourage me to try new activities
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Male/Female.

ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
The relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
