The University of Southampton is seeking to make the appointment to the role of Associate Director of Infrastructure Projects. Please note, the title upon appointment will be Associate Director of Faculty & Infrastructure Projects.

The Estates & Facilities team ensure that the University has a built and physical environment that supports the activities of a world-class University, across a portfolio of academic, state of the art research, clinical, enterprise, workspace, residential, social amenity, sport and community facilities. Ambitious plans are afoot with an estates masterplan that will see £1bn of investment in enhancing and delivering a sustainable, inclusive estate over the next decade.

Reporting to the Director of Estates Development, the Associate Director of Infrastructure Projects leads the planning and delivery of Faculty and Infrastructure projects and programmes, ensuring that the University benefits from a world-class estate portfolio to support its institutional purpose and vision. Projects include refurbishment, fit-out, retrofit, strategic maintenance, compliance and sustainability projects, delivered within a highly congested and busy operational environment where quality of student and staff experience throughout the works is crucial.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading programmes of refurbishment and infrastructure improvement across a live, operational, multi-building estate portfolio. You will have communication skills, a positive and inclusive approach to leadership and will demonstrates a genuine passion for delivering an outstanding estates environment for the University.
