Summary

Apprenticeship Assessor – Engineering | Remote working | No travel required – You must be based in the UK | Full Time | £32,000 per annum

This is an excellent opportunity to join our client - a rapidly expanding online company that delivers high-quality apprenticeships in Engineering, Drinks Dispensing, Smart Home, Fire Emergency Security Systems, Fire Safety Inspector and Compressed Air.

They are looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer Course Manager and IV/Assessor to work as part of an assessment team looking after a caseload of apprentices.

The company use OneFile e-portfolio software, and Moodle to deliver training; making them the masters of remote assessing, so there is no travelling to the site.

The following criteria are essential for this role

Qualifications and Knowledge

• Assessor Awards (D32/33, A1, TAQA or CAVA)
• Good knowledge of current issues in the occupational sector
• Good knowledge of training in the relevant subject
• Good knowledge of assessment procedures
• An understanding of Safeguarding
• Excellent communication skills, to be able to handle confidently and professionally, all types of telephone/face to face contact
• Ability to communicate with a range of students on both theoretical and practical aspects of the relevant subject area
• Ability to lead students to the successful completion of their course
• Ability to present a professional image at all times
• Good organisation and administration skills
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to use own initiative
• Ability to use full ICT facilities supporting the learning process

Experience

• Successful, relevant and current experience in the occupational sector
• Successful experience in assessing NVQs
• Successful experience in supporting students
• Successful experience of work adhering to Health and Safety legislation

What will your role look like?

You will take the apprentice from the Initial Assessment through to the End Point Assessment, following the curriculum and managing progress. You will review their progress monthly via MS Teams and report to the Operations manager

The caseload will be up to 40 apprentices who are currently enrolled on various engineering standards.
