YMCA Bournemouth Child Contact Centre is a NACCC accredited service supporting children and families to build positive relationships even when they do not live together. We offer a safe and neutral environment where the child is the most important person. We offer supervised and supported contact in our centres and in the community as well as facilitating handover contact.

We are looking to recruit a weekend supervisor who will oversee family time sessions, supporting the practitioners and families. An awareness of safeguarding is essential and the ability to function as a member of the team carrying out duties and responsibilities required for the day-to-day running of the service at weekends.

an ability to work closely and non-judgmentally with other people, showing an understanding of boundaries and a commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory working
excellent communication skills with all ages and ability to provide clear, written information
the ability to deal sensitively with people under stress
good IT skills
An NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant field is required.

Experience of working with children and families essential.


Salary (part-time role) £13,395.20 per annum. The full-time equivalent for this role would be £26,780.00 per annum.

The available role is for 20 hours per week (Saturdays and Sundays). We may consider 2 x 10 hour posts Saturday or Sunday.
