Summary
Managing a specific portfolio, the Mental Health Manager will engage with and work with stakeholders from across the system to deliver on change and quality improvements within their place-based footprints. Professional leaders at this level demonstrate a collaborative and facilitative style of leadership which ensures they engage, coach, mentor, motivate and inspire teams to become high performing, ensuring the service provided is effective and responsive to the needs of the population. The post holder will be accountable for implementing and delivering on the overall strategic framework for policy, service development and quality assurance for statutory services within their portfolio areas, whilst optimising service performance and maximising available resources with a focus on value for money and the South Tyneside Pound. As a Manager you will have accountability for Mental Health Social Workers the AMHP Team and and your role is pivotal to promoting and governing excellent practice and developing excellent practitioners
