They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the costs associated with construction projects. You will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, monitoring budgets, conducting cost analysis, and ensuring cost-effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor project costs and expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgets.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to optimize cost efficiency.
• Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.
• Provide expert advice on cost management strategies and risk mitigation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quantity surveying and cost management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Cost Manager in the construction industry.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Professional certifications such as RICS or equivalent are desirable.
• Experience working on Defence or other Government contracts may be advantageous.
• Consultancy experience.
• NEC / JCT experience
