Food Production Operative
Cowdenbeath, Glenfield
£11.44 per hour
TM Scotland Fife & The Lothian’s branch is very excited to be recruiting on behalf of a new client based in Cowdenbeath that manufactures yoghurt, cottage cheese and ice cream.
Our client is urgently looking to add an Food production operative to the team.
Working hours - Mon to Sun (5/7) : WEEK 1: 6am - 2pm WEEK 2: Mon to Sun (5/7) 2pm - 10pm (Rotational)
5 days out of 7 day rota every 4 weeks must be available to work weekends.
What the role looks like :
The supervision and allocation of tasks for packers
Regular communication with process operators with regards to tank filling
The production of soft cheese in accordance with work instructions
Accurate and timely completion of production logs
The testing of products in accordance with work instructions
CIP and manual cleaning and the completion of these logs
Timely reporting of all equipment faults to engineering staff
Ensure any wastage is handled appropriately and company procedures are adhered to
Maintain product quality and hygiene standards
Follow site hygiene procedures and wear protective clothing
Comply by Health and Safety requirements
Ensure good Housekeeping of area at all times
What our client requires for you to be considered for the position:
· Previous machine operator experience preferable
· Basic Food Hygiene certificate
· A good understanding of the dairy industry
· Due to location you must be local or have a driving license
· A good work ethic and with a can do attitude
· A team player who works well under pressure
· A reference from a previous employer within the last 2 year
· Good people management skills
· Manual Handling
· Numerate and literate with good communication skills
