Summary


As a Highly specialist Podiatrist you will be responsible for supporting your Manager in ensuring that our service users’ needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care, as well as mentoring and supporting junior colleagues to achieve the same.

You will offer personalised patient care to a cohort of predominantly high-risk foot patients supporting their independence and wellbeing and go the extra mile to ensure that the care provided is compassionate. You will carry a caseload of and be be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of individual treatment plans using specialist clinical reasoning skills to provide advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of a caseload of of high risk/complex, chronic and acute foot problems.

To work closely with colleagues to case manage complex patients and to facilitate early, smooth and coordinated care between community and hospital.

You will be expected to mentor and support junior colleagues to develop their knowledge and skills in the management of these complex patients.

To assist the Operational Manager with developing and maintaining the service to a high standard including audit and evaluation of clinical practice.

You will be expected and encouraged to take part in relevant research used to enhance practice.
