Summary

Work base: Coed pella / Hybrid

This is an exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a busy Facilities team.

We are looking for a professional with appropriate qualifications and experience to Supervise a small team who are responsible for activities such as grave digging, cemetery grounds maintenance, minor building repairs, inspection and reporting on drains, culverts, pump stations, sewerage plant and other watercourse infrastructure. This post and the team are also an important part of Conwy’s emergency response in relation to severe weather conditions such as flooding or maritime spillages. Specific duties are listed in the job description.

In order to be considered for this role you much be able to demonstrate experience in management and leadership of small teams. Have a good level of knowledge and experience in construction or sewerage/drainage or cemetery operations. Problem solving is a key aspect of the position, with the ability to devise and then execute solutions in a safe manner. Outside work in sometimes inclement weather conditions is a major part of the role. A full list of essential requirements are listed in the Person Specification.

You must be able to work on your own initiative and have good communication skills. The role on occasion will include weekend working, unsociable hours and participation in an on call rota.
