Summary
We are recruiting Van Drivers at Caerphilly County Borough Council.
Working hours: 3.45 hours per day, Monday to Friday 3.45 between the hours of 10.30am to 2.15pm
Contract Type: Casual/Relief
Location: Various locations in the Borough
This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Catering Team.

Caerphilly County Borough Council have an opportunity for Van Drivers within The Meals Direct Service based at Ty Penallta, Ystrad Mynach.
The Council’s Meals Direct service is a lifeline to many older people across the Borough, delivering hot meals to the door. For some people, the daily visit by friendly delivery staff is often their only contact with the outside world.
As a Van Driver you will follow a detailed, planned delivery route to deliver meals plus any required support functions to our clients. The Van Helper will assist you to ensure meals are delivered as ordered, and the clients’ needs are met in a warm, friendly, and dignified manner. On occasion you may be required to work alone depending on the needs of this crucial service. Therefore, you will require a current, full driving licence in order to drive one of our vehicles.
For the role, we ask that you have:
Required to complete CCBC Manual Handling, Customer Care training and Protection of Vulnerable Adults.
Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a Council vehicle.
Knowledge of the County Borough and the services provided by Catering Services.
