Main Duties:

• To undertake home based assessments with adults to determine their suitability for a strength and balance exercise programme.
• To prescribe a tailored, evidence-based home exercise programme
• To record a series of pre-exercise assessments to enable measurement of change.
• To monitor progress and adjust exercise programmes accordingly.
• To encourage adherence to the programme
• To promote optimal independence and confidence
• To record notes using Systmone

Requirements of the Therapy Assistant

• Recent experience within Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy
• NHS experience would be advantageous but not essential
• Experience of working with older adults in a fall’s prevention capacity
• Recognised falls prevention exercise instructor qualification
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
