Are you a specialist Occupational Therapist looking for the next step in your career or already working at an advanced level and looking for a change? York Hospital Stroke Team are looking for a band 7 Occupational Therapist to take on the role of Clinical Lead.

Based at York you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting integrated pathways across acute inpatient, outpatient and community services. You will be providing clinical leadership and expertise in relation to stroke rehabilitation as well as driving service developments, quality improvements and outcomes in relation to the service.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills. Be self motivated and enjoy working as part of a supportive multi-professional team. They will work collaboratively with system partners to improve the quality of patient care and ensure outcomes are monitored and reported on with clinical scrutiny. The successful candidate will work closely with the Team Manager and AHP Senior Operations Manager to offer advice and clinical expertise on local and national strategy.

They will work mindfully in accordance with the four pillars of practice, providing support and guidance to the wider team. They will autonomously manage a patient caseload and have oversight of the patients within the stroke service.

They will have access to clinical supervision from specialists within and external to the trust as well as professional support from the occupational professional lead. There will be access to training opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge in this specialist area. You will be encouraged to network locally and nationally as a source of development and support.
