Summary

Full time rider/groom position available at Brendon Stud,
Pyecombe, Sussex.


Live in position in shared flat with all amenities.


Immediate availability preferred.


The team is a fabulous one already, they just need another
team player.


Some seriously top quality young horses in work
and you’ll get plenty of training and ring riding. Some affiliated experience
is preffered as these are big, fit young competition horses including stallions.



All yard duties - feeding, sweeping,
harrowing arenas, mucking out,field maintenance, checking mares & field horses.


Must be confident handling horses as you will have to handle youngstock and stallions.


Amazing opportunity for someone competent and capable.


A job that will set you up to be able to successfully run
your own yard in the future.


They work hard and play hard. They have a laugh. Even when
plan A doesn’t work out!


Modern yard to work in with indoor stables and lunge
arena, indoor and outdoor arenas. Show centre and saddlery shop on site.
Cafeteria open on show days.


Own horse welcome but sorry, no other
pets.


The apprenticeship is based on site in a practical environment so not lots of time spent in the classroom. If you did not gain your GCSE's at school we can support you to gain these whilst on programme.
working hours are done on a rota basis and you will be required to work some weekends. Busy show centre and stud so hours will vary.
You have to be a UK resident or have lived in the EU you for 3 years or more to apply for this role.





Training
All training will be provided on
site during your paid working hours.
Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination
of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training
Trainer Coach.


Qualifications required
A GCSE or equivalent pass in English
and maths is beneficial but not essential.
If you do not have passes, we will support you in achieving your
Functional Skills English and maths qualifications alongside your apprenticeship.
