Summary
The Best Connection are recruiting for a time served Glass Blower to provide support to our client based in Wallsend, Newcastle. This is a permanent position.
The role: Perform glassblowing tasks as directed and ensure that glassblowing standard operating, and quality procedures are adhered to Cleaning, preparation and cutting of quartz parts Manipulation of quartz tubing, rods and plates Quality control inspection Undertake training and development and provide support to Apprentices The ideal candidate would have: Meticulous attention to detail Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal A good level of numeracy skills Be able to effectively organise working time to meet set priorities and deadlines Competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Skills in ERP systems like SAP to the level necessary to perform the expected duties of the role Hours of work and Pay: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 16:15pm Monday to Thursday; 7:30am - 12:30pm Friday £27,920.63 annual salary x1.5 overtime rate and x2 Sunday rate This is a permanent position.
