Requirement for frequent travel and overnight stays. Plus part of the on call rota (1 in every 4 weeks)

Purpose of the job:

At Prestige Nursing & Care we pride ourselves on our ability to provide specialist Homecare Services for individuals of all ages living within their own homes. We are committed to ensuring each individual receives a person centred, professional service through our local teams of professional carers and registered nurses. The Head of Operations will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the delivery of high-quality care which underpins sustainable growth. This leadership position requires a deep understanding of the Homecare and Complex care market within the challenging adult and children's social care landscape. A strategic leader with a grass root level mindset is required to ensure our registered managers and branch colleagues are empowered to drive and maintain improved client outcomes and business growth. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strategic mindset that places client and colleague outcomes at the centre of their decision making; driving sustainable growth and exceeding expectations in the delivery of high quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Line management of Operations Manager alongside holding a cluster of branches for direct managerial
    oversight
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans to ensure the effective delivery of our homecare and
    complex care services aligning with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the review and implementation of a branch operating model that is fit for purpose and able to
    effectively support business growth with all operational roles working to clear objectives and KPI's.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to identify, embrace and implement new business
    opportunities.
  • Act as the budget holder for all branches within the region; managing budgetary requirements to support
    revenue growth, maximising profitability.
  • Effectively manage operational resources to ensure efficient business performance and service delivery.
  • Monitor the response rate and implementation of new packages of care safely and effectively.
  • Promote, support implementation, and ensure the use of systems and processes to support the branch
    operating model and digitalisation journey.
  • Robust monitoring and management of compliance against agreed pathways and KPI's.
  • Ensure that all care colleagues can meet current safety, quality, legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor audit and improvement activity in line with the internal quality assurance framework to meet or exceed
    internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and empower a diverse team of operational colleagues providing mentorship, and promoting a
    collaborative, transparent and positive culture.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote
    collaboration and support.
  • Drive innovation and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Utilise data to review and assess overall operational performance and recommendations for further
    improvements.
  • Prepare regular reports for the senior leadership team and other relevant authorities.
  • Hold on call responsibilities shared across the group with other key team members on a rota basis of one
    week in four.

Accountabilities:

  • Sustainable revenue growth in line with budget, branch business plans and strategic objectives.
  • UOP achievement at branch and company level.
  • Successful implementation of successful tender and framework awards.
  • Ensure care is delivered in line with commissioning contracts.
  • Meeting and maintaining requirements of the internal Quality Assurance Framework.
  • Meeting and maintaining a rating of CQC Good and Care Inspectorate 4 as a minimum requirement.
  • Consistency of operations across all branches effectively underpinning strategic objectives

Person Specification:

Essential

  • At least 5 years management experience within Homecare and a track record in senior operational
    management.
  • Experience of multi-site management.
  • A proven track record in leadership and motivation of staff with demonstrable understanding of and
    commitment to the achievement of company objectives.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage change effectively.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets.
  • Ability to think strategically and make decisions that align with organisational goals.
  • Significant experience of budget planning and management including interpreting complex P&L accounts.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office packages, especially Word and Excel.
  • Able to work unsocial hours when required.
  • Ability to travel and stay overnight frequently.
