Summary

Title: Warehouse Operative / FLT Counterbalance The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative/ Forklift Driver for a busy client of ours based in Ashford.

Times: 08:00-16:00.

Pay:£11.44ph.

Responsibilities: Managing inventory: Ensuring accurate stock levels, conducting regular stock checks, and updating inventory records. Order fulfilment: Helping to process orders received through e-commerce platforms, picking items from the warehouse, packing orders securely, and arranging for timely shipment. Shipping and logistics: Coordinating with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and deliveries, preparing shipping labels and documentation, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Warehouse organisation: Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse space, whilst adhering to FIFO. Quality control: Inspecting incoming and outgoing goods for quality and accuracy, addressing any issues or discrepancies, and ensuring that products meet quality standards before shipment. Customer service: Handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues related to orders, shipments, or product availability, providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience. Project Work: Working within cross-functional teams within the brewery including our subscription loyalty program. Safety and compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment, following best practices for handling and storing goods, and ensuring compliance with shipping and transportation regulations. Adhere to general good hygiene and housekeeping around the brewery. Team Work: To support and assist the wider brewing and distribution team when required. Requirements: You’ll be someone confident, motivated, and willing to learn about producing the beer and cider which is at the heart what we do. If you’re passionate about beer or cider (or think you might be!), we can help you learn the rest. A valid forklift license is desired but not essential. Own transport is required to get to and from the 2 sites in Ashford. We are looking for someone who is focused and has an eye for problem solving. Previous experience in food production, food service, warehousing, or manufacturing sectors is a bonus. Above all, we believe that good communication is what makes a workday go smoothly.

Benefits & Requirements:
- Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
- 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
