Finance Project Analyst

Here at Serco, we are recruiting for a Finance Project Analyst to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract and drive our two-year transformative initiative in collaboration with our outsourcing partner. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring project success by providing end-to-end support, analysis, and training to the Record to Report (R2R) team.

As our Project Analyst, you will facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of project outcomes. Your responsibilities will include analysing reports, creating new reporting structures, testing new processes, and providing support for the finance transformative team. You’ll also be involved in training sessions and fostering knowledge sharing across our outsourcing partner, Accenture.

This role offers a unique opportunity to drive significant improvements for Serco whilst developing your knowledge within a large and diverse business environment. Working alongside Accenture, you’ll contribute to transforming the finance function, creating a strong partnership for future success.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

- Collaborate with the finance transformation team and our offshore partner to analyse reports and support the creation of new reporting structures.
- Assist in analysing project metrics and benefit calculations.
- Summarise large sets of finance data and prepare communications for change management.
- Design and create metrics for analysis and KPIs.
- Support with closure and benefits analysis as well as ad hoc project support for the Finance for Future (F4F) roll out.
- Create or update training documentation and ensure effective training for the Accenture community.
- Review and update relevant documentation, including Visio process maps, to reflect implemented changes.
- Mange the Finance resource library documents.


What you’ll need to do the role:

- Ideally you will be a part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Previous experience working on projects, preferably within a finance function.
- Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated continuous improvement experience.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptable, enthusiastic, and continuous learner.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Deadline-orientated with a focus on accurate and timely delivery.
- Ability to thrive in a pressured and constantly changing environment.
- Strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Occasional UK travel for meetings as and when required.
