Summary

Role overview

Are you looking for a role with autonomy and variety whilst making a difference in families' lives?

Come and join a Charity focused on people rather than profit

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Family Support Specialist to join our Family Services team working in
Gloucestershire working on a casual/bank basis (we would need people to commit to at least 1 day a week for 8 weeks to support a
family)

Your role will involve supporting children, young people and families to achieve their goals. You will thrive at building
relationships, be it with those you are supporting or with our network of partner agencies. Managing a busy caseload that will
require you to have strong organisational and time management skills.

No two working days will ever be the same

As a Family Support Worker in Gloucestershire, you will be providing mentoring to children, working with parents to establish
routines and structures, role modelling positive interactions, guiding healthy lifestyles and working alongside other
professionals to offer a holistic approach.

You will be providing support through visiting people in their own homes, working in schools or other community settings,
running parenting groups, or helping families to access groups in the community.

You will have worked in this role previously or have transferrable skills from other positions. Your personal values and
experiences will enrich your ability to support.

You will be required to travel within your designated area of work, therefore a full driver’s licence and your own transport are
essential.

If you are empathetic, driven, embrace opportunities and are willing to learn and reflect, we want to hear from you, to help us
continue to achieve our vision and purpose.

Benefitting from monthly 1-2-1 supervision, a designated training pathway, and working with a knowledgeable, experienced and
supportive team, you'll have all you need to develop within your role.
