Summary

Clinical Work 1.To provide highly specialist, psychological assessment and formulation for the people who use our services. 2.Provide individual and group psychological interventions, utilising evidence-based approaches which address problem substance use and concurrent mental health difficulties. 3.To offer these with due regard to issues of equality, diversity, and inclusion. 4.To promote and contribute to multidisciplinary assessments that reflect an understanding of the impact of adverse experiences on a persons mental health and overall well-being. 5.To receive regular clinical supervision from a senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, and to use opportunities for relevant peer support and CPD through Change Grow Lives Psychology Directorate. 6.To use theory, literature, and research to support evidence-based and evidence-informed practice within the service. 7.To be fully registered with the HCPC. Clinical Leadership 1.To facilitate the development of a positive and supportive team culture. 2.To take an active interest in working parties and groups within the wider service to develop and improve on service delivery, protocols, and guidelines. 3.To advise, encourage and share knowledge utilising the latest research and practice development. Research and Development 1.To use specialist knowledge of research methods to initiate and support research, service evaluation and audit, to improve services. 2.To contribute to and support colleagues with local, regional, and national research projects and audits in this area.
