Founded in 1889, Littlehampton Golf Club stands as the proud home to West Sussex's only links golf course. Nestled in a rich history, our private members club is an 18-hole par 70 course, offering golfers an enthralling challenge that is never the same from one day to the next.


About the Role:

Join our team as an Assistant Greenkeeper, responsible for maintaining the beauty and playability of our esteemed golf course. This role offers a blend of routine tasks and exciting projects, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the ever-changing landscape of our course.

Main Duties:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, from bunker raking to mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough.
  • Operate and maintain golf course machinery, ensuring top-notch playing conditions.
  • Undertake construction projects such as bunker renovation, drainage, and tee building.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and secure work area.
  • Uphold a positive and friendly atmosphere, fostering Littlehampton Golf Club's excellent reputation.
  • Weekend duties and Bank Holidays on a rota system.


Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 2 years of greenkeeping experience.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about golf course maintenance.
  • Understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Full driving license.
