We are a well-established and highly reputable firm of Accountants in Chard, providing a comprehensive range of services to a broad client base. Due to our continued success and growth, we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced AAT Accounts Senior to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant practice experience and possess a strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of current accounting regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft yearly accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards

- Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to relevant deadlines and regulations

- Act as a liaison with clients, providing professional advice and assistance on a broad range of accounting matters to meet their specific needs

- Answer client queries and provide exceptional customer service to maintain and build upon existing client relationships

- Support the Director with ad-hoc projects, including business development activities and other tasks as required

Requirements:

- AAT qualification and relevant work experience in a similar role within a practice environment

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including preparing accounts, VAT returns, and tax computations

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with clients at all levels

- A proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet tight deadlines

- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail with a commitment to delivering top-quality work
