Summary
Requirements:
Must be a British national with a valid British Passport.
Valid Full UK Driving License.
A British Honours degree from a reputed UK public university
Must have communication skills in English, Bengali, and Sylhety dialects. This includes Listening, Reading, Hearing, and Writing in English and Bengali. Fluent understanding of Speaking and listening in Sylhety Dialect.
A minimum of 10 years experience in airline ground handling, passenger check-in, cargo handling, Aircraft turn-around, flight operation, baggage handling, gate agent, and ramp operations.
Must have extensive work experience in London Heathrow Airport. Must know all areas of London Heathrow Airport.
Enhanced CRB required.
Must have proficiency in Business Communication, articulate writing skills, and a better understanding of the structure of the Government of Bangladesh and the Ministry of Civil Aviation & Tourism. (MOCAT).
Duties and responsibilities:
1. To prepare the flight planning/scheduling of flights and execution within the stipulated time frame.
2. To obtain arrival/departure slots from the LHR scheduling authority
3. To coordinate with the Ground Handling Agent for the smooth turnaround of flights.
4. To coordinate other stakeholders such as Catering, Security, Immigration, BAA, and LHR authority for smooth flight operation.
5. To manage accommodation, transport, immigration, and security of cabin crew and cockpit crew
6. Obtain overflying permission from various airspaces
7. To coordinate fuel uplift, apron, parking, and Control tower issues
8. To coordinate cargo handling for both inbound and outbound flights
9. Cross-check various invoices with actual service provided
10. To supervise and manage local employees
11. To brief, introduce and guide home-based managers such as Station Manager, LHR and Asst. Station Manager, LHR
12. In case of VVIP flight in LHR, coordinate all sensitive issues and manage VVIP handling
13. In the case of VVIP flights in Europe, travel to other airports and manage VVIP flight handling.
14. Handling of Head office high officials during their respective visit
15. To make liaison with various concerned for arranging necessary Ground Handling equipment
16. In case of a Delayed flight, manage passengers, security and ground engineering partners (if required)
17. In case of Delayed and Night Ban, arrange hotel, Accommodation, baggage transfer, meal and other issues.
18. Compile various correspondences with different stakeholders
19. Other various activities
