Introduction
We’re looking for a Customer Adviser to join us on fixed term contract until the end of October 2024 at our visitor Information Centre at Brockhole. You’ll share your love of the Lake District with thousands of visitors and use your local knowledge to make their visit even more memorable.

What’s it like to work here?
You’ll be based at Brockhole Visitor Centre, a popular honeypot site in the centre of the national park. It entails working as part of a small team to deliver a friendly and enthusiastic information service alongside a great local retail offer.

The role
Your main duties and responsibilities include:
• Help visitors get the most out of their visit to the Lake District National Park area by providing a high friendly and informative customer service
• Working in the visitor centre shop and ensuring our retail displays are kept orderly and eye catching for our customers
• Being a keyholder and handling cash for the Information Centre
• Direct involvement with the stock management of our retail offer
• Responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of our visitors and staff by following all Health & Safety and fire processes

Please read the attached role profile for the full person specification on this post.

About you
Ideally you will have some experience of working in a fast-paced environment. Retail experience is preferred, as is a good knowledge of the Windermere area. However, the most important thing is that you are passionate about the Lake District and about sharing this passion with our visitors.
