Head of Facilities

Full Time

52 weeks per year

£45,000 per annum

Denstone College wish to provide an opportunity for a highly motivated Head of Facilities to join our supportive Operations/Maintenance team. Under the direction of the Director of Operations, you will lead our Maintenance team, which is central to the development and delivery of excellent and efficient operational support to the College. You will maintain responsibility of the College buildings, ensuring that the site is safe, secure, attractive and well maintained.


Beginning life as a school in 1873, Denstone College is a thriving, co-educational boarding and day school, situated close to Uttoxeter. It has its own preparatory school, which has recently moved onto the main campus, providing continuous education on the same site for pupils aged from 4–18. The school is part of the Woodard Corporation, and the Head is in membership of HMC.


The Successful candidate will have:

Higher education in Operations, Facilities Management or related field.

Have proven experience in facilities and operations management, preferably in an education setting

Have a First Aid at Work qualification (or willingness to work towards)

Familiarity with CAFM systems

Excellent budget management

Knowledge of (heritage) site management

Knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services

Knowledge of Health and Safety, Compliance and inspection requirements

Good understanding of risk management
