The Service

This is an exciting development for EIP services in Kent and Medway following recent investment to develop anAt Risk Mental State Service (ARMS).This new multi-professional service provides comprehensive assessment and formulation for people aged 14 to 35 years who are at ultra-high risk of developing psychosis. Treatment includes CBT for psychosis and co-existing mental health needs; family interventions/carers support, and a psycho-social therapeutic program that is trauma informed.

The ARMS service works collaboratively with other service providers including ChYPS, Substance Misuse Services and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) services (Live Well Kent and Medway, MIND) and the 18-25 pathway for young people. This not only allows quick easy access to treatment but enhances support for the delivery of the psychosocial offer to young people in schools, colleges, universities and local communities.
