Summary

People are at the heart of everything we do at St Andrew’s Hospice. There are a lot of myths about what it is like to work for a hospice, but our incredible staff, volunteers and supporters go above and beyond to create an environment full of laughter, fun and vibrancy.

If you are hardworking, ambitious, driven, resilient and want to make a difference, then this role would be perfect for you.

This role is ideally suited to someone who can convey with passion, the work of the hospice in a face-to-face setting and, if the circumstances are right to ask for support through playership of our lottery for as little as £1 per week. You’ll be joining a fabulous, friendly fundraising team in a role that helps to make each day count.

Our Lottery Canvasser role has flexible hours to suit your working days, evenings or weekends.

We would love to speak to you if you have a background in sales, customer service and fundraising, in fact any situation with a face-to-face interaction. You will enjoy meeting and conversing with members of the public and be fit and well enough to be able to walk from house to house. Ideally you will have access to your own transport (the use of which will be remunerated). You will like to work with targets and enjoy beating them!

We want people to know that the Hospice is not a sad place, and our Hospice does not necessarily mean the end, it can mean healing and support and it can mean laughter, joy, making the most out of the time people have left. You will never be bored in this role as you transfer and develop your skills in our charity setting whilst seeing the difference that you and our staff can make to our patients and their families.
“As the Head of Fundraising Operations, I am excited to bring this role aboard and to see what difference it will make – we know we have amazing support from our community and so I know the role will be able to make a difference in maintaining our Big Fish lottery”.
If you want to work in a rewarding role where you feel truly valued, then I would love to hear from you.”
