Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) - £11.45 per hour + enhancements Hours: As & When (Nights) Contract Type: Permanent Location: Community Based Middlesbrough Closing date: 6th May 2024 Interview date: TBC As a Healthcare Assistant you will deliver care and support to people with terminal illnesses whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families. Emotional strength and the ability to work on your own are crucial, though we will of course provide excellent on-going training and support. Driving licence allowing you to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle insured for business use are essential. With experience of End of Life care, you're ready and able to make a real difference. Ours is a one-to-one approach to care, so you're sure to enjoy plenty of meaningful contact with patients and their families - usually in their own homes. Working without close supervision, you'll have the opportunity to use your own initiative in line with the patient's established care plan. You'll be required to carry out a range of care duties including helping patients meet their hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medications and keeping detailed records and providing emotional support to the patient and their families.
